Reigning world champion Valentino Rossi sped to victory at MotoGP's Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday, overtake Loris Capirossi in last laps near finish line after several time leading.
Rossi, riding a Yamaha, won in 43 minutes, 7.829 seconds, ahead of fellow Italian Capirossi on a Ducati and Honda rider Dani Pedrosa, who was injured during a fall in practice Friday.
Current MotoGP standings leader Nicky Hayden of the United States was fourth on a Honda. Spaniard Jorge Lorenzo edged Andrea Dovizioso of Italy to win the 250cc race Sunday at the Malaysian Grand Prix.
